The goal of this project was to create an immersive experience that allowed the audience explore a relatable home and the items within that lead to the story of domestic abuse. The audience is led through a maze-like installation within the house, passing through different rooms while listening to audio recordings of interviews with real domestic abuse survivors.
As they pass through, they are able to explore the small details within each room. Each space has its own story to tell, and as they progress through the maze the atmosphere and recordings become more chilling.
The house was set in the heart of the Oculus at the World Trade Center.
